Sorry if this is kinda repetitive, but I'm kinda confused about the *Gold benefits and would like a clarification on something.

I'm going to hit KF Gold in a couple of months, but like hclee01 I'm also considering switching from Krisflyer to ROP. Going back to the first post (and thaifly's reply), I plan to ask TG if they will take over my Gold status when I apply for ROP in January.

However, if they say that I have to start as a general member at ROP, can I credit miles to ROP (with no status) and still check in at business class counters/get priority baggage handling/get lounge access based on my KF Gold card even though I'm not crediting my miles to it?

(BTW, I do most of my flying on SQ with maybe 2-3 flights a year on TG. Most of my flights are short ones in economy class between SIN, BKK and BOM)
