The plane flying in was delayed due to weather. After all passengers were boarded onto the plane, we were then told a 'computer system' went down, and after 20min or so the system came back up, but its too late because flying out will result in the crew working for more than the maximum allowed number of hours. On the hotel voucher, the stated reason is 'mechanical'.
Another problem is that, I have a hotel reservation (hilton property) at my destination city. Since I was a no show last night, I will still be charged.
So in summary, here're the extra money I am paying as a result of this cancelation:
- taxi to the hotel at washington (shuttle bus is closed at 3am)
- one night of hotel at washington
- breakfast at washington
- one night of hotel at my destination city
What sort of compensation should I expect/ask for?
