Moving from KrisFlyer to ROP

I am currently a Krisflyer Elite member and considering a change to ROP in view of the longer validity period for the gold/silver status (2 years as opposed to 1 year in KF). I would appreciate if I can have your comments on the following aspects:

a) I am currently a KF Gold member, can I accrue miles to ROP (general member) and still enjoy *G benefits (e.g. Lounge Access, Priority baggage handling)

b) As I usually travel in Y Class, do I earn 100% mileage on Y class ticket on other airlines? I usually travel on TG, SQ and NH. Any classes of fare that I would not be eligible to earn miles (e.g. In KF, we do not earn miles for Q class booking)

c) Upon qualification of Gold status, it will be valid for 2 years. In what time frame do I need to clock up another 50,000 miles (or 80,000 miles) to renew the Gold status?

d) When performing a ticket redemption on other Star carriers, how I can check the amount of miles required? (E.g. If I am redeeming ROP miles on SQ, can I follow KF award charts or if there is a separate chart for non-KF members)

Any comments is greatly appreciated.
