SQ does not assign economy seats in advance...except for online bookings.
Since it's award travel, booked through United, I have a United confirmation number - which I assume will be useless in the SQ system; it appears I can't access anything online for SQ. United says they can't do anything about seats (so much for requesting seats "at point of booking").
I've got a bad feeling about this...really don't want to be stuck in a middle seat for 30 hours...suggestions?
