Wrong. Of the places Sluggo lists, only TX has the Sunday morning restriction (as he states). Everywhere else (EWR, OH, PA, etc.) prohibits any alcohol service while on the ground. If you've had pre-departure alcoholic drink service on another airline then they're the ones in the wrong.

Fair enough, I stand corrected. Still there is no need to throw the baby out with the bathwater. It is far more customer-friendly (not to mention industry-standard) to have a a policy dictating pre-flight F service; at the prohibited stations, they can just not have that service. No need to punish F pax at all the other stations for the policies at a few outliers!
