Sometime in the last month or so, the FT engineering staff modified the UBB software to allow transfers of threads from the Miles Board to the Travel Board. Before that it was a time-consuming, complicated process (with very slow server response) to move something:

Moderator or FT staff person had to copy the thread to be moved to "Clipboard"
Start a new thread, paste the text from the clipboard (any embedded HTML would be lost, BTW)
Copy the new thread address to Clipboard
Return to the original thread, create a new post in the original thread indicating the new URL
Re-access the administrative control menu to lock the original thread
Test the link
This could take in total up to three minutes, depending on the server's mood. Under the new system, there is an administrative tool that does this seemlessly, and it retains all of the original poster's code. As a moderator, this makes my life significantly easier.

I attempt to note when I move something what new board the posting can be found in (in addition to code which is automatically posted at the top of the closed page). A specific URL link is not available for inclusion.
