Sorry to hear about your return flight on SQ. I fly SQ a fair bit, but do not consider myself an expert on their equipment and routes. Perhaps you should post your query in that forum. IME, I have found that in general the SQ experience is consistently good on flights of three hours or more. They seem to pay a bit less attention to the shuttle-type and shorter flights, such as SIN-BKK.

I've been a bit depressed to hear many of the TG FAs demoralized, and complaining among themselves during recent flights, though they say little in English. One female FA, who apparently was being terminated (yet still working flights) hurled some invective against her TG superiors - who were not present - that made my hair stand up. She smiled sweetly at me as I approached the galley to get more of an earful, and she obliged by continuing to chatter away in Thai. Even among US FAs, such as UA's, I have never such (equivalent) language. Fortunately this was a somewhat isolated incident on TG. However, I am beginning to rethink my TG ROP gold requal strategy in light of TG's less-than-totally-excellent and consistent in-cabin service and attitudes.
