I certainly have my beefs with the UK immigration officers, especially at MAN ("What brings you to Manchester?" "I'm on holiday" "Nobody comes to Manchester on holiday...why are you here") but I underatand it is nothing compared to what non-US citizens are subjected to at many US points of entry.
