The only thing that I would really like to have, although I'm not sure how much use I'd get out of it, is an apple corer/peeler/slicer thing.
Every time I see one, I think how easy it would be to slice up apples for pie with one of those things! Except I've never made apple pie before and I'm not sure a gadget would make a difference in that regard!
The mixer wouldn't get any use as I don't like to bake. I'm thinking I could pay less and get only the functions I want. Any purchase that ends up on the counter will send me right to the doghouse anyway.
I've seen old-fashioned apple peelers that are hand cranked and look pretty slick. I forget where, but I'm thinking county fair, Dollywood, Cracker Barrel maybe. Couldn't be too expensive.
