You obviously are not a freq. SWA flyer -- or do not check this site too often.

1. Bags often (also on other airlines) arrive early and are "staged" near the baggage office. This is especially true if you arrive very early at airport or have a long connection and they have a flight goes out before yours. I always check the Baggage area first in these situations -- as usually I do have a few minutes at baggage claim before bags come out. I like this.

2. As to cattle car and no assigned seats. Yes, some dislike this. But if you play their game, no need to wait in line. Just get an A Boarding Pass and get up as last pax in that line are getting on. You will always get an aisle or window (your choice).

Most agree there are some things that really need improvement, like some benefits for those that fly 25+ flights a year (Elite Status). But, as stated earlier, each airline has pros and cons. So choose the one that suits yoru preferences.
