Just want to first to say that this thread is not about iPhone or any other device. It is just about the lack of flight information monitors in the boarding area at LGB.

Anyways, thanks jetBlueFA for the input and thats kindda what I figured.

I still think it would be nice to have at least one or two monitors there. The reason is simple, it can get very hard to get updated flight information at LGB with out having to leave the secured area. There have been several incidents where I would check in at home and no gate information will be printed on my boarding pass and when we land in, the crew will some time just say please check the monitors for connecting flight information.... and you get to the terminal and there is no monitor unless you leave the secured area. If you choose to track down the gate agent or look at the individual gates, good luck with that too because I've been in some situation where there was no jetBlue crew member to be found or their busy boarding another flight and some time the gate wont have which flight it is for. With the combination of all those factors, leads me to either leave the secured area or use some alternative ways to look up flight information depending on how much time I have between flights. Although I often time head up to the prop room if there is enough time but its just those times with short connections at LGB that gets a bit annoying.

I guess those flight information monitors is something that we take for granted and don't realize how important it is until its not anywhere to be found... with or with out the iPhone, blackberry, treo, etc....
