Only a few of TG's 747-400s have the fully flat beds. So that means that the MD11's have the OLD, OLD First Class seats. Best to be avoided.

I understand what you mean about TG's 777-300 series - the entire aircraft is confirgured wrong. The Y class seats are just as bad - even though this series has 3-3-3 as opposed to 3-4-3 on TG's 777-200 aircrafts, the seat pitch is horribly reduced in economy too. The plushier and tilt mechanism tricks you into believing that there is more picth but in fact, it is even less and I try to go out of my way to avoid this particular aircraft. But unfortunately I have to fly on one tomorrow and really don't know what to do...
