Since the seats on most of the US Airlines have a narrow seat pitch, I don't think it's good manners to recline. If the passenger behind you is using the tray table, it really makes it tough.

What is so great about reclining the seat anyway? I never do, and still am able to relax, and I'm over 6 feet tall.

Just don't do it, and you'll make the others happy.
