Yes, you certainly did. This should at least have an "OT": prefix to it. Fortunately the mods on this forum and a bit less judicious than elsewhere so your thread has lasted longer than might otherwise be the case. Though on the whole, I do agree with you. However, the Anglican brand is certainly undergoing a challenge as the inmates have taken over the asylum and the mass of the backward third world are dictating to the rump of the modern world. And right now, the only hope for Christiandom in Africa is this archaic vesion of the Anglican church. The progressives in England, NAmerica and Ausdtralia/NZ are being squeezed out of control. As for the Catholic Church, I suppose having a German pope permits an assault on the legitimacy of the churches that emerged from the reformation. But Catholic numbers are also in steep decline...and in the progressive world, birth rates have plummeted so again it is in Latin America and elsewhere in the third world that the Church has any credibility or influence.

This is a very provacative but challenging thread, so when it does get moved to OMNI, I hope it evolves to a discussion of the relevance of religion today...but equally with the decline or marginaliztion of Christian churches, how we are going to meet the challenge of radical Islam?
