Come on, you can not possibly hear all of the things you have posted most of the time.
On almost every flight I have been on, UA FA's often ask you to shut down your electronics at the double ding or at the very last minute when the pilots say to prepare.
As for the call button, i have never heard it called an emergency call button and if this is the case (probably 2% of the time), it is just wrong on the part of the FA's.
As for the lavatories comment, It is not federal law. It is a courtesy that first class passengers don't have to wait in line to use a bathroom. It also helps to alleviate a crowd in the first class galley, which is federal law. The announcement should be properly stated ... "Due to United's security policies...". This is what we are told to say, period.
As for this newest case about the todler, I think any UAFA would agree that this is just ridiculous. If this is indeed the true story of what happened, then that FA was completely out of line. As you all here would say, "I hope she gets compensated very well."
