Two months ago I flew NWA from Korea to LAX for three weeks of mid-tour leave and bought the $20 supersize deal thing for 1,000 miles on NWA.com. While I was in the states I did a ton of travelling, including trips from LAX to Santa Rosa and Seattle, flown on Alaska.
So I get back and the miles never posted. I wrote in and they responded that since "all segments of the trip" were not all flown on NWA metal, they couldn't give me the miles. I considered the roundtrip from ICN-LAX, which was all NWA to be the "trip" in question. And I don't get the deal I paid for because in the meantime I took a hop on a puddle jumper to Santa Rosa, a route which NWA doesn't serve?
I hate to quibble over 1,000 miles/$20, but if I'm going to pay $1,400 for a roundtrip trans-pacific flight on NWA (which was not the cheapest fare available and also constitutes 5% of my annual income

) then I don't think they should quibble with me about what I do in between.
It irritates me, but I still love NWA. And I'll always be loyal.
