I've done over 100 Tripadvisor reviews now! I see it as a public service!

What is interesting is looking at the number of people who click 'was this review helpful to you?'. (This is NOT the number of people who have read it, just the number who felt the urge to click on the 'helpful?' button afterwards.) It gives you a rough guide as to what sorts of properties are looked at most often. Looking at a six month period recently, the number of clicks on my reviews (either positive or negative) is:

Paris: Hyatt Regency Paris - Madeleine 1
Riga: Radisson SAS Daugava Hotel 2
Langkawi: Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, Malaysia 11
Kuala Lumpur: Hilton Kuala Lumpur 2
Chiang Mai: Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi 4
Chiang Rai: Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle 11
Bangkok: Peninsula Bangkok 3
Paris: Le Grand Hotel InterContinental Paris 2
Cape Town: Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel Cape Town 2
Geneva: Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva 7
Cologne: InterContinental Cologne 1
Bergisch Gladbach: Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg 3
Agra: Oberoi Amarvilas 7
Jaipur: Oberoi Rajvilas 5
Udaipur: Oberoi Udaivilas 6

As you can see, the Four Seasons properties are clearly the most read reviews.

However, the most comments 'was this helpful?' comments I have ever had on one of my reviews was for a tiny 20 room hotel in Buxton, Derbyshire called Biggin Hall! 34 people have clicked to comment on this one, and this was a particularly scathing piece of work!
