Be very careful. The European duty free shops are hurting. And, in an effort to ease the pain, may not be entirely truthful. I bought some wine at CDG and was told that because it was purchased at the duty-free inside the security zone and sealed in a special bag I could take it on the plane to the US. Correct, as far as it goes. But, when I got to US, there was no way to take it on my connecting flight, security bag notwithstanding. Had to check the wine and one bottle got broken. What a mess!

My new rule, no more wine brought onto plane. @:-)
