What do you rate Ilford XP2 400 at for shooting?

Pretty clear question. Do you overexpose routinely or shoot it at 400? Also, does it make a difference if you are using 35mm or 120? Im curious about other B&W films also in this regard. I was talking to a woman I know who used to be a pro in the fashion business and she said she always overexposed it. How do others use it, or is it conditional on subject matter? Thanks for any insights. Im having some fun now!
