If we dont choose lowest available on our travel system, a "please explain?" quickly comes from above....and I'm a european director so shows how little leeway there is. Of course there are the company jets...or so I am told....

And now the really good news...our travel system has been upgraded to include LoCo's.....
We have a similar although not quite so draconian policy. J kicks in at 8 hours with a meeting the next day.

However all of our group's travel is client funded so we have much more leeway. My boss supports our frequent breaches of policy. He found the man who owned the process that sent out the "please explain" emails and asked him to stop sending them!
