It's definitely something with the Ren's internet, as I was able to download all my email just fine once I got to McCarran's free wireless. Web at the Ren seems to work fine. Cable is provided, about 6 foot length. Wired only in rooms; wireless in lobby and the infomal E-Go cafe/coffee bar.
I checked into the Las Vegas Rennaissance today and want to correct a couple of items on HSIA.
HSIA is STILL FREE to all platinums and is also free on the congierge levels. I called the front desk and got that information not more than 5 minutes ago.
WIFI is available in the rooms. I'm currently using WIFI in my room. It is also free to plats and on the concierge level. You will initially go to a page where it says that it's a charge to your room, but I have been told by the front desk just minutes ago that when they sweep the charges overnight, that charge is removed for the concierge level and all plats, no matter which floor a plat is on.
Overall, not a bad hotel from what I've seen so far. Very quiet; I like that. I don't need to hear drunks staggering up and down the hallway.
