Anyway, I think he was in the right to ask you to raise your seat during taxi, as this is for his own safety. My personal opinion is that coach pitch is too tight to allow seat reclining. However, the airlines allow it anyway so I can't fault you for doing it when the airline allows it.
Before we resort to consolidated threads, how about a separate forum section to discuss all the many facets of seat reclining, bare feet/feet on the armrest/bulkhead, kids in first class, and tipping. We could also include the "somebody was sitting in my seat," "somebody asked me to move," and "a fat person tried to raise the arm rest" threads. I dare say it would be a busy forum section!

I actually kind of enjoy these posts from time to time, and in fact find that there is often some variation on the theme of the posts. I kind of liked the way this guy offered his seat to a lady who was upset that her seat wouldn't recline! What a great comeback! I would hate to see these posts sent to the "consolidation" ghetto. In fact, the number of people who love to chime in speaks to the popularity of these threads, which usually remain civil. So I would hate to see these topics "banned."
