I am sure that BAA can provide all sorts of unwarranted justifications for their Fast Track restrictions, and I'd suggest some preemptive rebuttals for them:
"Too many passengers with elite cards on economy tickets at LHR"
-- So why can JFK, LAX, ORD etc all cope with that problem?
Nothing dismissive about it. The facility is provided for a specific group of travellers by BAA. The fact that in the USA , AA provides for this benefit to their "elite" economy travellers is completely irrelevent
