Seems like plenty of candidates for the the "16 wrongs make a right" school.

Reclining during taxi is a safety hazard to both the recliner and other pax.

Forcibly moving someone's seat is a battery.

I don't believe in hostile confrontations with anyone, particularly if the person being confronted is hostile. I once had the police meet the plane when I encountered someone like the passenger described by the OP. It was because my wife and I were nice people that the seat basher was not arrested.

As with any dispute with another passenger, this one is best mediated by the FA.
