Apologies as this is only of interest to SIN based FTers, but wanted to mention it in case any of you hadn't heard.
DBS bank just launched a new Amex CC that promises 1 KF mile for every 0.83SGD which beats the currently "best in class" 1KF for every 1.06SGD of the KF Amex.
The "best in class" is actually the PPS Club Platonium Amex Card which offers 1 KF mile for every 1 SGD spent. This card was very popular with PPS club members - though its the cards membership has and will dwindle due to Amex's enforcement of annual fees [not waived irrespective of spend - idiots] and the forthcoming reduction in PPS Club membership as a result of tougher requalification criteria.
The DBS's 1 KF mile for 0.83 SGD looks to good to be true. Has anyone read the fineprint? What's the catch?
