Although not specific to the 5th night free, I am concerned with a check-in the next morning issue. Let me know what you think..

I flew the red-eye from LAX to IAD on Saturday night/Sunday morning. I reserved a room for 07/07/07 at the Sheraton Reston and had the "not arriving until 7am" added to my reservation. When I got there, there seemed to be no issues. When I checked out at 3pm to move to a hotel closer to DC, they said I wasn't scheduled to check out until the next day. I mentioned to them that I checked in "Really late" instead of "really early" and that I needed the stay to be on the 7th, not the 8th. They said they can't do that.

Now, I'm checked in on the 8th at the Sheraton National, will I get my platinum amenity for both? What about the 777 bonus for the Reston and the 3 stays for 3k bonus, will this count as only 1 stay because I was checked into two hotels for the same "night" even though I shouldn't have been.

This may also cause havoc with my company travel department, because they are going to see 2 hotels for the same night, so thats another thing I have to deal with..
