Aim: reduce BA Amex Premium Plus card annual fee from £120 to £30, or ideally £0

Companion card required: according to the FAQ page on the BA Amex web-page (click FAQ on this page:
http://www.americanexpress.com/pes/u...ium_plus.shtml)

your BA Amex PP annual fee is reduced to £0 if you already own:
a) Platinum Charge Card (https://www.iplatinum.americanexpres...e=PlatinumHome)
or
b) Centurion Card (not currently available on UK website)

your BA Amex PP annual fee is reduced to £30 if you already own:
a) Gold charge card (not currently available on UK website)
b) Green charge card (http://www.americanexpress.com/pes/u...n_charge.shtml)
c) A Small Business card
d) An Amex Credit card
According to an Amex person I spoke to this morning, any non-branded Amex credit card is valid. So the BMW card is excluded, but the Platinum Moneyback Credit Card is included. He was unsure about the Amex Red card.

Complications
i) Though the FAQ makes no mention of it, it appears you must have held the companion card for at least 6 months in order to qualify for the BA Amex Premium Plus fee reduction
ii) Some people have reported that their use of a Platinum Moneyback Credit Card companion card has resulted in a fee reduction to £0, rather than the £30 that the FAQ suggests.
