1) I don't think it was really AC that got the bad review, more than their current sale did, but that could be just splitting hairs. But the thing I notice from their alternatives is that there's no *A flights on there. And this being FT, I'm pretty sure most people will have some sort of program loyalty or at least know what they're getting into, especially when it makes the difference of saving 18 bucks on a flight (LAX-YVR).

2) That said, it wasn't the greatest sale of the week. But I've seen times when AC beat out Zoom by hundreds of dollars (taxes in, I think it was something like $200 + getting to YYC). Booked one for a buddy of mine this summer, in fact. But it's the airline industry, and I've never heard anyone who doesn't do this sort of stuff frequently say "wow, airline pricing sure is simple to understand".

3) This thread really isn't the place for a rant about how certain regions of Canada have certain feelings about airlines but if some posters feel that they are better than those of us who don't fly WS, then why don't they go post on the WS board?
