Invitation says "In recognition of your status as one of our very first customers to receive this special invitation, you will be granted Charter Member status". And then goes on to say that Charter Member means no foreign currency tx fees until 12/31/08, and 30k bonus TY points.
I think the foreign tx stuff will be extended to all members, though, because the "benefits brochure" makes no mention of "charter member" (seems to be the generic sales material), but does say that foreign tx fees will be suspended until 12/08.
I have no idea if the card itself will say anything about Charter Membership - I just got the invitation, not the card.
