We stayed at the Renaissance on a weekend in mid-April for a Priceline bid of $80 per night.^ Hotels on the strip were going for $250 per night and up. Even with having to pay for a rental car, this was a no-brainer. Obviously, there was not a convention going on, which explains the cheap rate. The room was nice and the staff was courteous. Apparently, this is the only four-star rated hotel in the "Convention Center" bidding zone, so it is a safe bid if you limit your bidding to this zone and quality level.
