MUC-FRA ticket in Economy

FRA-Canada ticket in Business

I have 1.5 hour connection in FRA and want to check luggage straight through (should not be a problem; last week I did this DEL-FRA-CDG on two seperate tickets, with DEL-FRA as business, FRA-CDG as economy)

For the MUC-FRA, will economy or business rules apply? will domestic or long haul rules apply?

I am guessing domestic economy, but if business long haul that is a big difference! I am stocking up on 3 months supply of chocolate and coffee so luggage will be near the business class limit
Mrs DFW-SEN (she is also SEN) just did HAM-FRA in Y and on a seperate ticket FRA-BKK-SIN in C. She checked in more than 50 kg in HAM without any problem (she also brought chocolate and Haribo with her). So seems that they are flexible as long as they see that the rest of the itinery is in C

By the way, why do you purchase an extra ticket when the connection is included in the prices anyways
That very much depends. You often get very cheap C class ticktes on nonLH *A carriers, that do no allow to use codeshare flights (e.g. on LH). In my wife's case, we paid 1600 Euro RT (plus tax) on TG from SIN to FRA and had to add a 200 Euor LH ticket to get her to HAM...... A C ticket all the way to HAM on *A would have been at least 1000 Euro more expensive (and less flexible regarding date changes).... Cheers, S
