sy7 - thanks for added info about the larger shower. I had heard from someone else that might be a good option to consider. Several more questions about the shared shower: Did you ever find a line waiting for the shower? Did you ever go and find it in use? I understand that there's sort of a dressing room attached. However, if you look at schematic of Amtrak train, it shows the dressing room BUT not attached to the shower...meaning you have to go back out into hallway. Is the shower unit connected directly to the dressing area?

Any other suggestions for great train travel (not beauty related)? Thanks.
