Hey,

Were planning a weeks trip to Palm Springs/Desert in late August and have a choice of the following resorts to stay in :

- Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas
- Palm Canyon Resort and Spa
- Marriott's Desert Springs Villas I
- Marriott's Shadow Ridge

We are in our mid 20s so dont want to totally in the middle of nowhere and would like to access some nightlife etc..I presume we would need to rent a car anyway, which we are planning to do. As we are on a "budget" holiday and getting the above mentioned accomodations for free, those would be the only ones we would consider.

Also what would be the easiest way to get to PSP? We are flying from London and can use any oneworld carrier. Is it simplest to just fly to LAX or another international gateway and hop on to AA domestic to PSP?

Also all other budget tips to PSP are welcome! I know it might probably not be everyones first choice for a cheapo week in the sun, but hey ho! :P
