I just got it too. And I'm not happy--I don't WANT a KF account; I am less likely to buy an SQ ticket if I need to do it this way.
UA also does this, though you can still BUY a ticket at ual.bomb--you just can't access it electronically at all.
Anyhoo, I have no idea why this "helps" anything "to better serve my needs"-- other than pushing people into KF.
