As I read this and ponder what a Friday at Heartland is like, I come to the conclusion that we are better off elsewhere. I am going to suggest a similarly Friday Night Celebratory place in the form of the Oak Door Bar at the Grand Hyatt. It is quite similar to Heartland before 1am basically but with better dressed people and less in the way of obvious working ladies. Way better air-conditioning too.
I second the motion. My preference is to move even more upscale (Maduro), but I'm there tomorrow night, so a little variety is good.
If any of you live here and have a hard time getting around Roppongi Hills because the maps provided are too hard for you to figure out or the large number of people that may be there tomorrow really are too much for you to handle, by all means drink somewhere else more suited to your taste and we will write it up here so you can share vicariously.
Make sure you turn the knife (serrated, preferably) once you've stuck it in!
