I can only tell you that Cingular's Blackberry data service does NOT work in FP. I was told that there are no data services available in FP, period, but it's worth calling Verizon's international dept. to double-check that.

Cingular cell phone service worked (with international roaming set up in advance), so that part of the Blackberry was useable. I believe the cost was $2.29 per minute with Cingular, so needless to say I didn't use it much.
