I'm going to take, for leisure, a train trip from Seattle to Chicago. I'm excited about the trip, but it's going to take some modifications in "beauty" routine.

Have any of you taken long distance train trip? How's the shower been? (We have shower/toilet combo in our room). Have you been able to use hair dryer on train? And, here's one I'm worried about....do you feel safe putting on mascara while train is moving? I'm just imagining myself putting on mascara and train "lurches" and I stab myself in the eye..in the middle of North Dakota!

Any other advice is appreciated!
