Thanks for the clarification on the status of ZEAL.
I called ORBITZ this morning and after 20-minutes with a less than adept agent -- I expect little more of these online TAs -- I was told he could not get through to the appropriate NZ office as it only opened after 9a PT (i.e. LA-la-land time), so I should call back later in the day.
At first, and after my carefully explaining the matter about the single NZ segment on my itinerary (I'm flying Emirates over, but since I'm flying onward to WEL, can't make use of the free limo...unless they'll drive me down the Island!) I wanted to change...either moved up from 4F as shown on my update res into Business, or moved onto the 1p B763 which now makes an acceptable 1:45min connection with the UA flight to SFO since UA moved that flight to 4:45p from 3:45p. He originally called UA and was told by them to contact NZ directly...which I could have told him, but I'm only the customer!
Anyhow, shall try back later this evening.
I would prefer the sleep-in and use of the Club lounge for breakfast at my Auckland hotel, then take a leisurely shuttle to the airport, rather than a rushed morning to get a 9a flight as originally booked.
BTW noticed some very good Business Class fares (NZ$323) on LAN across the Tasman, albeit at the rather ungodly hour of 5:30am!
