I know nothing about a 3000 mile deal, but here's the current 2000/4000 deal (found in a few seconds by Googling "United Netflix 4000", which produced a Smarter Travel site that had the link):

As you can see, it's 4000 if you pay with a United Mileage Plus credit card*, but only 2000 if you pay with any other card.
*It's not clear to me if
any Mileage Plus credit card qualifies. In my case, I only have a Bronze one (the one with no annual fee).
That only gets 1 mile per
2$ spent, so normally I just keep it in a drawer, but if it were to work for this promo I might dig it out, since the bonus miles would far outweigh the couple miles less for the actual purchase. (But OTOH I'd be real mad if I
only got the 2000, which I could have gotten also at AA.)
