FWIW I've had the MOST fantastic help and support from Direct Travel...took a policy out about 4 weeks before I was due to travel to Nepal...as I was hitting Everest...and sadly had to turn back quick due to severe altitude sickness. I called them when I could and they completely took over and got me home quick, complete with a chauffeur driven Merc awaiting me at Heathrow...I still feel immensely grateful to them.
ps And they insisted that I completed a claim form for having to curtail my holiday early....that's what I call customer service.
pps The 'morning' post has just come. I have received an insurance inclusive offer from IAPA...£69 .... 'Includes over £130 of great insurance etc etc.' Might be worth a further look ? www.iapa.com
