I spent 6 months at a Marriott Courtyard in Tulsa, Oklahoma. What was hysterical about this stay is that Tulsa is my hometown and I had been transferred to Oklahoma City 4 months before this. They asked me to return to Tulsa to work a temporary project that was supposed to last 2 weeks and turned into six months. On New Year's Day in the evening I returned to the hotel after spending New Year's Eve with local friends. I was the only person in the hotel that night so the desk clerk called her Mother who was also the hotel's restaurant manager to come join us. We sat around and played cards and talked for the evening. You get to know the staff really well when you stay in one place that long.
