Not quite. Freedom air is NZ's low cost subsidiary (set up by NZ). But a year or two ago NZ set up Zeal320 as holding company for crew contracts etc for mainline A320 services. Benefits, service, mileage, etc is per mainline - no difference.
Now the business seat is slightly wider than 763 but much less pitch. You get personal DVD player and choice of about 20 movies. Proper arm rest between seats etc. Much better than 2-class domestic first in USA, or most intra-europe business class.
