I live in this area and can say that it is actually not that noisy, except in a few specific places such as Dupont Circle itself as indicated above and the heart of Adams-Morgan, Columbia and 18th streets. Dupont Circle (the neighborhood) and especially Adams-Morgan are actually mostly residential areas.
