I'm a CP holder, and I think that the rules shouldn't change. We don't need seating like the bankrupt airlines, where non-elites board the plan after
- passengers needing assistance
- passengers with kids
- passengers in first class
- passengers with top elite status
- passengers with middle elite status
- passengers with low elite status
Want to annoy your customers? Tell them it's "first-come, first-served" and then when they get to the airport 2+ hours in advance they receive a "B" or "C" boarding pass. Remember, those traveling from other cities and connecting on this flight will get their boarding passes before you as well.
If you are going to screw up the seating system like this, you might as go all the way to assigned seats, and we know that isn't going to happen anytime soon.
