On early AM weekday (esp. Monday) flights, I wouldn't be surprised to see 20+ CP holders. For sure it's a lot more than 2.

The A/B/C system, unlike the numbered pass system, does allow a future change to accommodate, among other things, boarding preference. I'm sure this flexibility was part of the decision to go with the new system.

One possible additional reason not to reward CP holders is that they may not generate more revenue per trip than occasional passengers. Why annoy your first-time full-fare passenger by giving him a C? If CP holders get A's, then all full fares should also get A's, IMHO. Then you start annoying everyone else when all the A's are pre-allocated.

Here's an idea: let's give EVERYONE an A! Then we can all board at once.
