I personally would LOVE it. Everybody who doesn't have a companion pass: They would NOT love it. Although as you say, SWA could just do this fairly secretly and not publish it and then the masses would never know about this "perk". But if it did get out, I'm sure it would be a PR mess if the "ordinary folk" got riled up over it. Especially since Southwest has been an "equal flyer airline" for so long. Plus as you said, Companion Pass holders already get the most outstanding benefit in the airline industry in the Companion Pass itself (+ 6 free tickets for getting to 100 credits). What other airline gives you basically TWELVE UNRESTRICTED free airline tickets for reaching their top elite level?
