I remember I read an article on a major news paper about the funeral fares. A lot of airlines do offer this type of fare. You probably need to call several airlines to get the sense.

By the way, if you travel from SF Bayarea to
LA area, the most you could pay for flying WN is about $95/ow. Or if you have a few people travel together and want to save money, you may just drive back and forth, which is 6 hours/ow.
