Airplane Types

There were some questions on the subject of airplane types and what ones a person gets on or does not. I am a bit of an airplane buff so this kind of conversation is interesting.

There aren't any 727 or DC-9 in my list because when those types were active my route map and the CO route map didn't match. Same for 747 and DC-10. If I wrote a list for North Central/Republic/NW metal 727/DC-9/DC-10 would be big and 747 on KL. DC-4 also but not on CO. All considered that gives me a complete sequence DC-3 to DC-10 (but no DC-2). Probably absence of 777 is just luck of the draw. For people marginally or majorly frequent flyers a lot depends on where one's professional activities/work schedule takes one. For me MSP to SE United States and Europe (AMS) were probably the biggies plus MSP-DEN.

The Lockheed Constellation is not in my list nor the L1011, but the Convair 880 and 990 is -- just circumstances.

By the way, thank you for the kind word of welcome. Hopefully I can add more discussion of current topics as time goes on.
