I guess this explains the cancellation of our MEL-SYD flight this morning. We were scheduled to fly MEL-SYD-SFO-ORD today. Last night it did not look too promising that we'd be able to get to SYD on any airline in time to make the SFO flight, but UA has rebooked most MEL passengers on Qantas from MEL-LAX. The Melbourne CS staff was great this morning!
