How does Delta handle missed connection to ST partner

I aplogize in advance if this is an obvious question, but I am looking at taking a December flight to Paris using OnePass Miles. My routing looks like this

ABQ-SLC--Delta
SLC-SEA--Delta
SEA-CDG--Air France

My concern is that I have a 56 minute connection in SLC. What will Delta do if my flight out of ABQ is delayed. It will not do me any good to continue on to SEA as I will miss my international flight out of SEA.

I guess I am wondering if Delta would tell me:

1. It is their responsibility to get me to SEA and I need to take it up with Air France to get me to Paris.

2. Delta has the authority to book me on a different Air France flight going out of LA or San Francisco and would try to do so.

I guess my real question boils down to how much Delta is willing to get involved to getting me to my final destination when they are such a small portion of my itin. I know they are partners with AF, but I just don't know how that extends over to missed flights/irregular opeations.

thanks for any help!
